Stockport CP Expertise
Stockport CP Society was established in 1953 by parents and carers of children who had Cerebral Palsy and associated disabilities.
Our support has since broadened to include adults, and we provide support and activities for people with a wide range of physical and learning disabilities, not just Cerebral Palsy.
Although originally founded to support children, young people and adults with Cerebral Palsy, our expertise now extends to caring for those who have a range of physical and learning disabilities, autistic spectrum conditions and complex health needs.
We support over 900 children and adults in Stockport, Manchester, Trafford, Tameside, Derbyshire, Salford and Cheshire who have a range of physical and/or learning disabilities and autistic spectrum conditions. We particularly focus on individuals with the most complex needs. We have many years of experience and expertise in supporting people to live a more independent life.
The range of services that we offer are designed to enable children, young people and adults to:
- Develop skills and abilities
- Meet new people, make new friends
- Become well and healthy
- Take part in new experiences
- Live a more Independent life.
Expertise in Managing Individual Budgets
We have a strong track record of providing creative, flexible and individualised services. We have experience of supporting people who have their own funding, and have a track record in supporting people to use their individual budgets in creative and truly person-centred ways.
All Stockport CP services can be purchased with individual budgets. However, if you have an individual budget but do not want to manage it yourself, we can do this for you.
We will make sure you know exactly how this is used and what it is spent on, whether you are only purchasing services from us, or from a range of providers.
